Our Beliefs

We believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all ages,
God from God,
Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made;
of the same essence as the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven;
he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,
and was made human.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried.
The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will never end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life.
He proceeds from the Father and the Son,
and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic (Universal) and apostolic church.
We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and to life in the world to come. Amen.

Additionally, we affirm the theological position of Continuationism. That is, that Jesus Christ ascended to the right hand of The Father and poured out The Holy Spirit, as Peter declared on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:33), making available to all people for all of time the power of the Holy Spirit’s Baptism, which is subsequent to salvation by grace through faith in Christ, stating: “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as The Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:39)

The Holy Spirit and His gifts are every bit as available to us now as they were in the New Testament. We need only to believe and ask in faith that we may receive the power of the Holy Spirit to confirm the promise of God, to empower us for the work of supernatural ministry, and a life of Holiness.

1) The ordinance of Baptism by immersion should be observed as commanded by Scripture by all who fully repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt. 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:27,38, Acts 10:47-48, Romans 6:4,35)

2) The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) should be regularly observed as enjoined upon the believer. (Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinth 11:23-26, 2 Peter 1:4)

3) Infants and small children may be dedicated to the Lord in the assembly whenever requested. (Mark 10:13-16, Luke 18:15-16)

4) The sick should be prayed for with anointing oil and the laying on of hands, upon their request. (Mark 16:18, James 5:14)
